A Day And A Half Learning About The Marae And Matariki.

Well on the 20th of june 2018 room 3, room 4, room 5 went to a marae noho A wonderful marae named Kohewhata. We were very lucky to go

to Kohewhata because we got to learn how to cook yum things and

We learnt about Matariki.

Well, as i was saying we were at Kohewhata

Marae, so lets get started with the story. Last thursday some of Tautoro       school Went to Kohewhata for the marae noho. As everyone was getting all there things We had to put all the bags in
the bus.

As we were driving we arrived at Kohewhata marae. The marae looked so awesome, how do i know, well it’s because  i had been to the marae before. When we had finished doing everything we got called on to the marae. When we were finished in the marae we had to go to the kitchen to have a kai, do you want to know why we have a kai after the powhiri? Well it's so the kai can nourish our bodies and take away the tapu from the powhiri.

On the very next day at Kohewhata marae we were told to wake up

at 6am in the morning so we would start to prep lunch/breakfast.

At around 7 or 8am all the year 7´s and down.
