This is my literacy DLO we were learning about suffixes, what they are, what they mean and how they change word meanings. Here is the DLO my friends and I came up with to share our learning. I liked that my group and I were trying our best and I hope this happens again. We were trusted to work unsupervised to get this done. We kept making mistakes, but we persisted. It was fun!

Te namu the nuisance fly. Hope you enjoy.
This is my book review and to summaries in my own words.
Te Namu
The nuisance fly
By Ross Calman
Illustrated by Gavin Mouldey
This story talks about how Sandflies bite when the female sandfly bites it puts little bits of chemicals called saliva and that’s what she puts into your body and that’s why people get itchy.
Second reason why it’s itchy is because the female sandfly slashes your skin then starts to suck your blood it’s attracted to dark like black. So when it can see black it goes there then starts to slash the skin off people's body.
Another reason is because when they suck your blood the chemicals stop your blood from clotting and that's another reason why it’s so itchy when they bite.

The most amazing story in the world.
Fun at church
My next step i will do is stay focused like how i stayed focus on this story.
On a warm Sunday afternoon me and my dad were getting dressed for prospective elders. When i was finished putting my white T-shirt on my dad yells brother Grunt is going to pick us up soon.So i replied O.K then a few minutes later he turns up in his van waiting he puts on his suit and knocks on the door. Once I answered the door I shouted dad he’s here so he quickly ran put his shoes on and came out. When we jumped into the van brother grunt said “wait i’ll just pick Quinton up” and we both said “yup”.
Once we picked him up it took about 4 mins he was like a sloth getting changed. When we left with him the movie was starting I was overjoyed then when Thomas S. Mon-son came on we sang Teach Me To Walk In the Light once that song was finished the last man stood and about a hour later it was finished. My dad and I walked out then he told me if I want to be a elder and i said yes.
As we were walking out of the driveway he told me that he left his bag in the van so he told Quentin that if he could tell his dad that my dad's bag was in the van he also said Yes so we started walking home then i asked my dad if i could wear his jersey because it was cold at night so yeah. Once we got to heke street this dog started chasing us.The dog was as brown as mud. The dog’s teeth were as sharp as a spar.
Then I started running home and my dad was trying to kick it when he kicked it it went back home so i finally reached home and then i was safe. Then i went to sleep and had a good night rest.
That day was fun i hope i never get chased again.

This term we've been making maori videos about talking maori and say he/she is doing whatever so hope you enjoy.
This term i have been learning to describe what my friends and i are doing using simple sentences.
To be successful we need to:
Know the kupu of Maori for me (ahau) you (koe) he/she (ia)
Use E aha ana to ask (what)
I am successful because I can ask what are you doing and i can say he/she is dancing and swimming
Kei te kanikani ia,kei te kaukau ia.
